Yes, medical marijuana patients in Nevada can have a caregiver. Patients must add caregivers to their registry account to generate a caregiver application.

Caregiver Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 years old.

• Patients cannot be caregivers unless they are the parent or guardian of a minor patient.

• Patients may have only one designated primary caregiver at any one time. Caregivers may not have more than two patients.

Here's how the caregiver process works:

1. Patients can request an application for their caregiver when getting their own application packet from the Nevada Medical Marijuana Registry.

2. The patient can add their caregiver to their account once they have registered.

   1. Click on the check next to “I will have a caregiver” and the upload prompts will display.

   2. Follow the same process for uploading the caregiver’s driver’s license or state ID.

3. Once the caregiver's information has been uploaded, the patient will recreate their application with the caregiver's information.

4. Caregivers must complete and submit their application packet.

   1. Upon approval, a registry identification card will be issued to the designated primary caregiver. The caregiver's card will expire at the same time as the patient’s.

5. There is no fee for the addition of a caregiver.
