How often do I need to renew my Missouri medical marijuana card?

Missouri medical marijuana certificates are valid for three years and can be renewed online.

A renewal consultation with Leafwell costs $99, and you'll only be charged if approved. Plus, when you renew with Leafwell, we'll send you a reminder 30 days before your certification expires to make sure you have plenty of time to submit your renewal application with the state.

Here's a summary of the renewal process:

1. Sign in to Leafwell, or if you’re new to Leafwell, register as a renewal patient here.
2. Speak to a Missouri-licensed healthcare provider online.
3. Once approved, the provider will submit your certification directly to the state.
4. Log into the Missouri Medical Marijuana Program to complete the state renewal application and pay the $26.50 state fee.
5. After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email from the state with an application reference code/application ID number.
6. Once approved, immediately download your new card from your registry portal.
